Our story
At Constantine Academy, we understand the challenges young footballers face in today’s competitive environment. Gaining access to academies is difficult, pathways are often unclear, and many players fall through the system despite potential. At the same time, parents often struggle to find a youth football academy that genuinely prioritizes player development over profit.
That reality is why Constantine Academy was founded in North West London by Radu.
Drawing from his own journey through injuries, setbacks, and long-term development, Radu set out to create a player-centered football coaching academy where every child—regardless of background or current ability—is allowed to grow both as a footballer and as a person.
By combining years of youth coaching experience with a degree in sport psychology, Constantine Academy was built on a holistic framework that develops technical ability, mental resilience, confidence, and personal responsibility. Training sessions are designed to support long-term progression, not short-term outcomes.
At Constantine Academy, football is more than just the game. It is about support, opportunity, belief, and building resilient young players in an inclusive, development-focused environment.
Coaching Philosophy
Our sessions are developed based on the FA four-corner model, a holistic approach to player development.
This model helps us to identify and meet the needs required for player development.
Technical/Tactical
Focuses on a player's ball skills and game intelligence, including passing, dribbling, shooting, decision-making, and positional awareness
Physical
Focuses on the player's athletic capabilities, such as speed, agility, balance, and endurance.
Psychological
Addresses a player's mental resilience, confidence, concentration, and ability to handle pressure
Social
Focuses on player's interpersonal skills, including communication, teamwork, and leadership within the group
